Senior z/OS Systems Automation ProgrammerÂ
We are seeking an energetic person with a passion for IT Infrastructure and a positive can-do mindset. A team player working as a core member of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional recipe with end-to-end responsibility for selected infrastructure services. You can identify and analyze problems and take the lead in solving incidents. You have a broad and diverse set of competencies that allow you the design, develop, test, deliver, operate and maintain the standard and highly automated infrastructure services.
Responsible for all z/OS Systems Automation processing working on z/14’s for 42 z/OS LPAR’s. Responsible for some automation processing for z/VM LPAR’s as well. Ability to customize the SA product for support of other subsystems (CICS, DB2, Network, Security, Storage, etc) and provide guidance for those groups who seek help in determining what they require. Provide automated solutions to manual procedures. Able to work with IBM to install, customize and make available for other engineering groups OMEGAMON use so that the product can be used to monitor ADP systems in the best possible way.
RESPONSBILITIES:
* Configure and implement Systems Automation functions.
* Explore new features of Systems Automation and OMEGAMON and apply to ADPs growing business needs.
* Able to code solutions in REXX and NETVIEW REXX.
* Support Operations staff in day to day operations of 42 z/OS LPAR’s.
* Able to support OMEGAMON TEPS platform.
* Provide 24×7 support
REQUIREMENTS:
* Education: Computer Science Degree
* Experience: Minimum 10 years in IBM’s Systems Automation and OMEGAMON products
* Skills:
o IBM Systems Automation product
o OMEGAOMON for all product sets
o JCL, IBM Utilities, SMP/E, TSO, REXX, NETVIEW REXX
o Understanding of z/OS and JES2
o JAVA a plus
o Understanding of z/14’s
o Understanding of the Agile and Scrum way of working
