ADP Labs. Located in Porto Alegre/Brazil, provides software development and infrastructure for world-wide ADP products, working with large scale initiatives across multiple geographies, including Brazil, United States and India. As an internationally distributed software development team, we are hiring:
 
IT Project Manager II
 
Responsible for the full life cycle management of large IT projects, as part of an internationally distributed software development organization. This includes supervising, planning and organizing activities as well as managing the implementation of complex business requirements and processes. Interfaces and aligns project plans with other development teams and management involved in large scale multi-product integration initiatives. Manage stake holder’s expectations throughout the delivery while managing scope and project profitability issues. Partner with development team to estimate effort required to deliver the various proposed solutions, keeping in mind the difficulty of construction and the nature of the particular environment. Typically has a dotted line reporting relationship to managers and executives in international locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Functional Responsibility: Acts as an expert source of technical, business and functional information. Responsible for leading, planning, managing and directing multiple complex projects consisting of one or more project teams. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, assigning project tasks, team building, and maintaining working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT. Required to achieve the objectives of concurrent projects with enterprise wide impact. Allocates staff and budgets resources as needed to achieve the objectives of one or more projects any of which can span multiple areas and business functions. Superior presentation and communication skills. Serves as project management expert across project boundaries.
  • Decision Making/Judgement: Work is performed without appreciable direction. Completed projects are reviewed from a relatively long-time perspective for desired results.
  • Accountability: Responsible for on-time completion of all project deliverables and product quality to prevent additional costs and to positively impact revenue and client retention
  • Contact (Internal & External): Internal: IT management, all levels of users and development groups. External: Clients.
  • Management/Supervision Responsibility: Assist in the training / development of more junior associates in area of expertise. Organizes and guides project operations through the use of systems development and project management methodologies accepted by the industry. May direct and lead one or more project managers. May direct one or more teams of specialists, analysts, and programmers

  • Experience: Experience within functional area. Must have demonstrated project management/leadership abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent English.
  • Education: Require a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or other related degree or an equivalent in education and experience. MBA Degree and PMP certification
