Investigative Technical Specialist     –    ( Prefer IATC or REI Training )

Position Description:

This position is part of ADP’s Global Security Organization, Converged Security Services team. This role serves as a Investigative Technical Subject Matter Expert and reports to the Senior Director of Global Investigations and Forensic Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) support and enhance the current technical security program designed to protect facilities, employees, executives and assets. 
  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and administering security systems for the safety of this Company. 
  • Develop and presents technical security related training, policies and procedures
  • Assist in developing and reviewing technical security designs for facilities.
  • Apply technical procedures in conducting needs surveys for preventing unauthorized electronic access to and possible disclosure of sensitive information.
  • Provide clear and concise reports for each service conducted to identify cost effective strategies and protection measures and strategies.
  • Provide research services and advising investigative/security personnel on national and international developments/threats. 
  • Procure and secure TSCM state-of-the-art security technology. 
  • Provide thorough briefings and education materials as needed.
  • Review and make recommendations for technical security upgrade designs based on counter-threat plans, physical security and technical security policies ensuring that technical security policies are implemented according to the company program procedures without undue interruption of normal operations.
  • May oversee the duties of other contract personnel, and coordinates the activities of direct hire personnel
  • Keep current with required licenses and advance technology for investigations support and workforce protection.
  • May be required to support other investigative services, coordinate investigations and litigation support across the company to include the following; ethics, fraud, professional misconduct, diversion services, forensics, e-Discovery, Critical Incident Response Center, work force protection, travel and event security along with executive protection. 
  • Other responsibilities may comprise of assisting critical workforce and public safety matters including crisis management, assessing threats, incidents and other general security issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing technologies and becoming proficient with technologies such as BGANS, SAT phones, Drone Detection, Vismo.
  • Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our Company to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Perform directly or oversee research, selection, modification, design, maintenance, and/or the development of Technical Security equipment and systems for usage
  • Independently, and as part of a team, review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex technical security problems
  • Technical working knowledge of access control systems, at the facility, corporate, and enterprise level, including Honeywell ProWatch, and have the ability to troubleshoot Access Control systems. 
  • Technical working knowledge of Video Surveillance Systems, including cameras, recording, and storage, at the facility, corporate, and enterprise level; as well as the capability to deploy portable video surveillance for events, and emergency situations; and have the ability to troubleshoot video surveillance Systems. 
  • Resolve or recommend solutions to overlapping and conflicting security requirements by utilizing knowledge, skills, and abilities, including the ability to interpret various directives, rules, and regulations
  • Design, operate and maintain distributed communication and radio systems such as WAVES.
  • Attend meetings and present findings or status of projects both internal and external

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors’ or Master’s degree 
  • Certification from IATC or REI Training Center

Experience:

  • 15 Years of experience in Military, Government, Federal, State, or Local Law enforcement. Private industry experience is a plus.

Certification:

  • Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Services (TSCM)

Preferred:

  • Current or previous holder of a Security Clearance
  • HR 218 Certified

Other requirements:

  • Travel — minimum 25% (Domestic and International)
  • Willing to travel and provide services on limited to short notice
  • Valid Passport and Driver’s license
  • Language: (Not required) Proficient in more than one spoken and written language
  • Maintain Good Physical condition 
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Be able to move/lift/carry weighed items and equipment
