ADP is hiring a Data Manager. The Data Manager acts as the data system owner for clients outsourcing benefit administration to ADP. Responsible for maintaining data system processing and creation of system inputs and outputs to and from the client, vendors, and other ADP product areas. Consults with clients and vendors regularly to resolve issues and answer data management and process questions. Makes complex data-related and ETL configuration changes. Performs data implementation functions for new business. Troubleshoots complex issues. Writes queries and reports.

 Responsible for key business metrics and reporting that drives decision making and process improvement for our clients and Benefits Operations. A champion for standardizing and automating internal client-facing reports, integrations or other extracts. Be a change agent to ensure accurate and high quality data is collected and analyzed on a consistent basis. Leverage a variety of analytical tools to provide information that is flexible, responsive and nimble to changing business needs. The Data Manager is responsible for Analysis/ Consulting, Configuration/ Integration, Validation/ Support and Project Planning for all aspects of the Benefits data workflow. Will help establish and apply data visualization best practices, and will help design, develop and roll out standards for data transformation and the delivery of information. This role will function in a client-facing capacity and will be directly accountable for a designated book of business, as determined by the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Owns the client-outsourced data system management at ADP

2. Controls all data system inputs, data system processing, and data system outputs for the benefits database

3. Makes complex data-related and ETL configuration changes, including documentation, set-up, testing, and promotion to production

4. Resolves escalated participant and production data type issues by researching the root cause of the issue and resolving the issue or working with appropriate parties (both internal and external) to resolve the issue

5. Works closely with cross-functional stakeholders (ex: clients, IS/IT, Health and Welfare, various payroll support teams) to ensure benefit system is properly interfacing with them and that issues are quickly resolved

6. Owns annual enrollment and new plan year data system set-up, testing, and production

7. Detects and identifies enhancements and improvements that increase the quality and efficiency of data processing

8. Performs implementation data functions for new business.

9. Writes database queries, designs reports, transformations and extracts using standard ETL and other tools as appropriate

10. Maintains/updates functional documentation to support client processing

11. Regular interaction with clients and vendors for appropriate analysis of data requirements

12. Analyze and map data across the data landscape to standard definitions and understandings of the data

13. Build inference engines to help to clean, normalize, and to fill in gaps of Data

14. Develop solutions to combine internal and external data sets to solve problems and to create insights into data

15. Create and promote an understanding of how information is created and used across the company.

16. Identify patterns for information sharing.

17. Establishment of enterprise information and data standards (ETL, security, HIPAA, audits, etc).

18. Identify analytic and reporting opportunities to help drive improved business performance and enhanced insight

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3 — 5 years with experience in benefits administration, payroll, HRIS, or data integration / BI
  • MS Excel, MS Access
  • SQL
  • XML
  • FTP end user experience
  • ETL – data transformation and integration
  • Knowledge of data encryption
  • Knowledge/Experience in automated workflow platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Process design tools (Visio, etc)
  • Prior experience in scripting technologies
  • Data mapping software
  • Knowledge of industry standards (compliance, PII, security protocols, etc)
  • Del Boomi experience
