ADP is hiring a Senior Analyst, Sales Finance. The Senior Analyst, Sales Finance will support the sales and business leaders in providing strategic and financial insights that lead to the achievement of financial and business goals. The Senior Analyst of Finance is responsible for providing analytical support for key requirements as well as assists with the creation of complex financial models, research and analyses of trends, leading indicators and business statistics. Utilizing the data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics, the Senior Analyst highlights findings for management review. In addition, the Senior Analyst performs research and leverages internal and external data to provide input for business case development.

The Worldwide Sales Finance team partners with the Worldwide Sales – Marketing organizations. This role will support the Sales Finance business partners with complex reporting and financial analysis. The role requires a high degree of familiarity with data systems and the ability to extract, work with, and interpret high volumes of data. This role will report to the Senior Director, Finance for Worldwide Sales – Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Business Analysis: Uses deep understanding of objectives, issues and root causes and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis to help solve complex problems· Creates financial models, research and analyses of trends, leading indicators and business statistics· Utilizes data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics; highlights findings for management review.
  • Business Partnering: Partners with Key Stakeholders and Business Partners to align on business priorities and drive effective solutions/execution. Constructively communicates compelling arguments based on facts and data, and obtains necessary buy-in to deliver on business objectives.
  • Strategic Planning and Initiatives: Supports Finance leadership in assisting management to develop strategies and initiatives to drive growth and margin improvements. Assists in the development of business cases and recommendations on financial strategies focused on business growth/market presence and margin improvement.
  • Financial Operational Policy: Ensures continued compliance with Sales policies and procedures.
  • Talent Development and Management: Deliberately builds capability for short and long term. Shares skills and knowledge with colleagues – helps to develop others, coaches new or more junior associates.
  • Management Reporting and Financial Close Activities: Produces and distributes recurring and ad hoc management reports. Responsible for financial reporting accuracy; partners with shared services organizations and ensures adequate control environment to mitigate financial and business risks in collaboration with process owners.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • BS – Accounting , Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience 
  • Consulting Experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Hyperion-Smartview experience preferred
  • Previous Sales Finance experience a plus
  • Business Analysis and Acumen: Uses and coaches others to use a disciplined problem solving approach; uses advanced modeling techniques, synthesizing and simplifying financial and non-financial data; uses experience, judgment and solid business acumen to offer insights.
  • Influential Business Partner: Builds strong relationships with business partners and is sought out for Finance expertise; demonstrates ability to tailor communication to the audience — can simplify and clarify, will redirect poor assumptions or clear up misinformation.
  • Information Management Acumen: Has advanced desktop application and data modeling skills and full understanding of systems.
