The Learning Business Partner is responsible for discovering, analysing, and providing learning solutions that support business unit goals and strategic objectives. They will act as a mentor and drive consultative excellence within the Enterprise Learning team. They will form part of the Global Enterprise Learning organisation supporting Client and Employee development.
Builds and cultivates strong relationship within business units, Enterprise Learning and the broader learning community. This role is the single point of continuity between the business and Enterprise Learning, providing alignment between Business Unit (BU) specific goals and Enterprise Learning strategy. Advocates on behalf of the business and updates business partners regarding learning services available from Enterprise Learning.
Responsible for developing the business case for their learning portfolios and championing initiatives from design to execution through understanding and communicating results.
Is capable of building training plans for their business leveraging the learning assets from the Learning Centres of Expertise
Provides insight to and influences the overall business unit learning strategy. Drives the change management agenda for business; offers expert performance consulting and coaching for senior and mid-level leaders.
Using data provides recommendations for actions to improve organizational performance, and identifies and defines success measures for training interventions to evaluate the performance and business impact of learning solutions.
Essential duties & Responsibilities
Strategic business partner: Build and cultivate relationships with business partners and key stakeholders. Anticipate business unit needs and recommend effective solutions to achieve business unit goals and strategic objectives. Coach senior and mid-level leaders and provide them recommendations for actions to improve organizational performance.
Human performance improvement: Consult with business leaders on existing or anticipated learning and performance gaps. Offer insight into role specific training plans (new hire and continuous) and ensure adoption of global standards. Identify and define success measures for interventions. Propose effective learning interventions to enhance associates’ performance and business results in line with business unit strategies and goals. Identify and recommend other interventions needed to enhance associate performance such as role clarification, process standardization. Gather and analyse data, reports findings and communicate suggested actions on a continuous basis. Solicit management feedback and coaching on performance improvement strategies. Assume responsibility for ensuring identified needs are fulfilled and desired impact is achieved or transition this responsibility to appropriate group(s) (e.g. Information Development Services, Global Talent & Learning, and Sales Learning).
Communication and Adoption: Provide a single point of continuity for business partners. Communicate Business Unit’s needs and ensure that Enterprise Learning strategies, goals and priorities are in alignment. Regularly update Business Units on learning opportunities and services available through Enterprise Learning, Global Talent & Learning, Sales Learning and other ADP organizations. Partner with BU Shared Support Teams to tailor global and learning initiatives to the unique needs of each BU. Promote relevant learning offerings and drive adoption and impact. Drive change management agenda for the business.
