  ADP is Hiring a Sr. VP President/GM for our Insurance Services Business.

The SVP / GM of will direct activities of all Insurance Services to meet profitability and growth objectives established for a $220M+ revenue business. Provides strategic oversight for account management, system implementation/setup, ongoing client service delivery, information technology, and financial reporting. Provide strategic oversight for all activities relating to the creation and accomplishment of profit plans, financial objectives, operating plan initiatives, client satisfaction, associate satisfaction and retention, and staff development/retention initiatives. Works closely with the DVP of Sales in growing the business. Evaluates results to determine if performance objectives are being met and takes steps to remedy any deficiencies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Acumen: Provides strategic leadership to achieve Financial Excellence as measured by: 1) Revenue; 2.) Net operating income (NOI); 3) Sales and 4) Client Retention. Ensures Insurance Services meets and exceeds the stated financial goals each fiscal year.

  • Establishes challenging targets for improvement in processes resulting in increased client satisfaction (as measured by Client Retention) and continued growth (both Revenue growth and NOI).
  • Directs Leaders through the process of translating strategic and tactical business plans into operational plans.
  • Establishes operational initiatives that support the long-range goals of Insurance Services and ADP.
  • Responsible for strategic oversight regarding the pricing of the clients and client profitability.
  • Develops and maintains a sound business plan for Insurance Services. Ensures the ongoing management of resources to accomplish profitability and the business goals as defined in the plans.
  • Optimizes external distribution channels and internal distribution channels to grow the business.
  • Responsible for capital planning and expenditures consistent with authorization levels.

Operational Excellence: Provides strategic leadership to achieve operational excellence initiatives within Insurance Services by meeting or exceeding established metrics regarding: 1) Quality and compliance standards; 2) Operational efficiency; 3) Productivity methods, metrics, and enhancements; and 4) Project plans for new product introductions. Represents the company in relations with major clients, suppliers, etc. Works closely with the Sales to acquire new business within the Insurance Services business model and to retain the business. Develops well thought-out planning cycles and executes effectively against them. Challenges leaders and to continue improving programs, practices, profitability and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational issues of the organization.

Leadership Development: Develops strategies and strategic objectives as well as the operating policies and procedures to assure associate engagement as measured by: 1) Associate satisfaction 2) Associate turnover; and 3) Diversity.

  • Ensures the assessment of management talent through proper succession planning programs so that key contributors are prepared for more significant responsibilities.
  • Provides leadership for associate relations through effective communication.
  • Engages in problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Ensures that plans and policies are understood and properly administered.
  • Uses strategic objectives as basis for establishing performance management and incentive programs for leaders and other incentive-based plans.
  • Directs acquisition, retention and continuing development of human capital throughout Insurance Services.
  • Assures that Insurance Services establishes and maintains recruiting, training and development programs, performance management and reward systems to attain the highest level of productivity for long-range success as well as systems to meet all government laws and regulations. (Approx. Wt. 30%)

Product Leadership – has an understanding of modern product development life cycle process and methodologies, including agile. Has a demonstrated track record of working with product and development teams to develop and implement product roadmaps that support the overall business strategy, while focusing on overall usability and design to deliver a modern consumer grade solution.

Financial Services Focus – has an ability to learn and interpret complex insurance transactions and principles, specific to the highly regulated insurance industry. Has a demonstrated track record of working with legal and compliance professionals to develop, implement and monitor industry regulations that pertain to the insurance services business, while making recommendations that align and support the overall strategy.

Manages special projects as required.

SPECIAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Highly complex position demands the ability to lead people and get results through others. Directly impacts the setting and achievement of Insurance Services goals of client retention, NOI, associate retention, and bringing on new business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience

Experience: 10 to 15 years’ experience in a Senior  Operations role in a fast-paced service environment. Within the years of experience, must possess at least 7 years of successful leadership experience.

Must possess inspirational leadership qualities with the focus on a team-based approach using collaboration.

Must possess integrity, ambition, and be results-oriented.

Broad functional background and experience including managing remotely in the area of service and operations with demonstrated ability in the following areas:

  • Set and meet aggressive goals for operational effectiveness and effectiveness.
  • Identify and develop talent across an organization.
  • Work closely with sales to bring on and retain new business.
  • Deal effectively with growth in sales and the existing client base.
Decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation, and detail-oriented perspective.
 
Possess an executive presence and skills to build strong, working relationships from front-line associates to senior executives.
 
Strategic thinker with ability to assess current situation and future trends and bridge the gap.
 
Demonstrates a sense of urgency to overcome obstacles and achieve measurable results
 
Thorough knowledge and appreciation of quality and execution.
  
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
 
Ability to work under pressure with tight time frames.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
 
  • MBA Finance or MS in Business or similar degree
  • Ability to be decisive when faced with tough decisions involving difficult tradeoffs
  • High degree of emotional resilience, well honed external perspective
