POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead QA Engineer, Roseland, NJ
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain Software Test Automation Frameworks including driving processes and improving and simplifying quality assurance processes
- Design and automate test cases to validate large-scale, complex software systems, including white and black box tests
- Develop internal supporting test tools to aid development and testing
- Conduct regular regression tests
- Design test specs and create test strategy for new and existing features
- Work with other engineers to increase manual, automated test coverage
- Design database Queries and Joins to perform database testing for manual and automation testing
- Create manual and automated test cases to test Web Services
- Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test artifacts for manual and automation
- Intergrade automation framework with CI/CD process
- Design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications
- Perform defect corrections (analysis, design, code)
- Participate in the design discussions with developers to ensure features are designed and implemented meeting testability requirements
- Create full end-to-end test plans for testable components
- Manage project, test artifacts and execution in Rally, SharePoint, Confluence
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Strong experience in developing high quality automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, GRID, Junit, TestNG, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, QTP, Cucumber, Jbehave, SOAP UI or HP Quality Center
- Experience in improving and refactor current Test Automation Frameworks, manage test infrastructure
- Experience with a range of programming languages frameworks and proficient in JAVA
- Experience with CI/CD process using tools such as Maven, Jenkins
- Proficiency in GIT, BitBucket, SourceTree.TFS and/or other version control system and well versed with version control process to maintain automation framework
- Experience with comprehensive understanding of all phases of Test Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, test planning, and scheduling, testing, defect tracking, and reporting
- Expertise in Automation Testing, Manual Testing, Smoke Testing, GUI Software Testing, Performance testing, Backed end Testing, Black-box Testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, and Regression Testing
- Experience in creating Data Driven and Keyword Driven frameworks to create/ maintain test suites
- Experience in Web Services testing using SOAP UI, XML, & WSDL and automaton of web services
- Experience in TDD and knowledge of BDD and ATTD
- Experience working in an Agile test environment
- Experience in converting existing QTP/UFT scripts to Selenium is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience performing backend database verifications using Oracle database
- BPM experience is a plus
