As a Principal Architect, you will promote use of innovative new technology and best practices for Enterprise-wide new product and solution development initiatives. Influence and govern current and strategic architectural blueprints. architecting enterprise applications.
THINGS YOU’LL DO:
- Work with business partners to drive and capture system functional and non-functional requirements – Security, Scalability, Maintainability, etc.
- Collaborate with architectural peers, product owners, stakeholders and globally distributed teams to define and capture software architecture for systems and/or components
- Identify, evaluate and select appropriate technology, and develop/document design models
- Assist in the development of overall project plans and timetables, analysis and identification of intermediate deliverables
- Demonstrate prototypes and/or released application software to both a business and developer audience in solution development
- Design technical architectures for complex solutions
- Provide technical and thought leadership on agile teams. Deliver great software adhering to agile software engineering practices (e.g., TDD, continuous integration, automated tests…
- Code review and mentorship of developers on agile teams
- Develop applications and components; test and debug programs and support production Develop specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings
EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED:
- 15+ years of IT experience with hands-on experience in application / system / platform / integration architectures
- In depth experience in architecting, designing, and building large scale distributed, enterprise level, services-oriented systems and web applications in an agile environment
- Experience building applications with multiple technologies and platforms
- Hands on experience integrating enterprise-scale applications including 3rd party app’s
- Strong experience in development of REST web services, JMS, and MVC
- Strong data modeling experience from conceptual, logical, and physical designs
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS and unstructured data stores
- Strong technical proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML, XSLT
- OOP, Functional paradigms, JavaScript, Node.js, Oracle or NoSql Databases, MVC, Scrum Agile
- Development experience in Java with high proficiency in Java/J2EE technologies
