As a Compliance Analyst, you will provide regulatory interpretation; develop and implement compliance auditing and monitoring strategies; design, implement and coordinate necessary compliance trainings; and assist in maintaining the compliance program for ADPIA to support our clients, including our Carrier Partners, ADPIS Senior Management, Legal, Service/Operations and Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct monthly random file audits for Sales/Implementation/Service to determine that each sampling has performed according to state, carrier and agency documentation/process requirements. Produce monthly reporting to reflect results.
  • Deliver File review (Quality) results during quarterly review meetings. Discuss trends and observations. Provide required steps to bring issues into compliance. Resolve appeals, drive improved process and quality.
  • Monitor licenses of all associates who are required to maintain an insurance license, including management of monthly license audit/Expirations and associated license reporting. Work with Legal and HR to ensure disciplinary actions (written warnings and commission removal) for unlicensed sales in accordance with licensing policy.
  • Manage all agency and producer appointments with carrier partners.
  • Design, update, oversee, coordinate, provide guidance and deliver mandatory internal compliance training to all new and Pay Insurance associates. Monitor that all agency related training requirements are met. Produce weekly/monthly reporting on associates out of compliance. Manage annual corporate policy recertification for the Agency. Work with Legal to create, amend and review compliance policies as needed.
  • Manages at least one department project and participates in various other department projects regarding compliance and/or quality control. Involvement in development of all compliance systems. Team Lead would be expected to write Business Requirements for review with IT Support/Development, participate in SIPOC & Process Mapping reviews.
  • Advises Sales force by answering inquires that focus on compliance issues, primarily around DOI product changes, state specific WC & H&B rules (i.e., Owner/Officer rules), Licensing, etc. Serve as the interface between Associates and various DOIs. Team leads are expected to do more technical research and interact directly with Legal.
  • Interaction with Compliance India — training and acting as backup for tasks, including maintenance of Compliance database in AOS. Act as resource for projects that have been transitioned to India. Team Leaders are primary point of contact for collaboration of process/procedural changes, and monitoring for errors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Team Leads — new initiatives requiring project management skills (i.e., Doc Management for QBMS/TRUDI (Sales tool)
  • Participate and provide input in Sprint Reviews/ Demos and Grooming Sessions. Provide information and input necessary to assist IT development of logic and upgrades for QMBS/TRUDI, and participate in testing of logic in QBMS/TRUDI.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, HR or Compliance
  • 3 -5 Years of Directly Related Experience in Insurance compliance, regulatory affairs, auditing, recordkeeping and/or administration
  • License in Property/Casualty and/or Health and Benefits required within 60 days of employment.
  • Demonstrates strong oral/written communication skills
  • Organized: ability to juggle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Works mostly independently, but as work-groups during critical deliverables.
  • Demonstrates strong inter-personal skills. Specifically skilled in presentation, coordinating and facilitating meetings and phone calls, and bring issues to resolution amicably.
  • Ability to research, read, and interpret regulations.
