The Vice President of Product Management will lead the strategic vision for ADP’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) products and services, and is responsible for driving the product requirements and alignment of products across ADP Employer Services and achieving on-time, on-budget releases. The role will lead the team of product managers who are responsible for collaborating with clients, prospects and internal cross functional teams to understand market requirements and deliver comprehensive BPO solutions that delight the end users. The role is also responsible for the product management of the partners that work in conjunction with our BPO solutions. Works with Business Unit leadership, Sales and Service Leaders, Developers and Product Managers across Employer Services to ensure vision/strategy is aligned and is being applied consistently in all markets. In addition, the Vice President Product Management is responsible for the product P&L ensuring product(s) achieves margin/profit objectives. Work closely with field organization to ensure the product(s) can be “mass installed” and “mass serviced,” while achieving our service quality and implementation quality targets.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·    Lead BPO product strategy and product definition, by analyzing customer needs through direct client interaction, market research and collaborating with sales, service and product development.

·    Oversee product lifecycle management for all BPO products. Lead engagement with all strategic partners/vendors to ensure a cohesive solution.

·    Serve as the subject matter expert on products and pricing. Lead the competitive takeaway opportunities through product enhancements, line extension or pricing changes. Engage sales/external consultants to support data gathering.

·    Lead the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, etc. to ensure that all product and business objectives are achieved. Oversee the team working with Marketing, Sales Enablement and Content Management departments to develop collateral to assist sales organization.

·    Act as User Champion when coordinating product development with Business Stakeholders and align all development activity business goals and priorities. Ensure the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement) aligns with business/client objectives.

·    Support go-to-market activities across the portfolio working internally with Corporate Marketing and externally with Industry Analysts and Trade-groups/Associations. Enhance overall marketplace recognition of ADP’s BPO solution leadership.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education             Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent in education and experience. MBA preferred.

Experience           10+ years of experience in a product management environment with a proven proficiency in identifying product requirements, coordinating product development and people management. Strong SaaS product knowledge will be a huge asset; authored articles, speaking and/or moderating experience at industry trade conferences desirable. Must be able to interface with and influence key internal stakeholders, as well as interact effectively with C-level client contacts and industry analysts. Must be able to identify growth opportunities and develop and deliver products that increase market penetration.

 

Generic Skills       Must be able to lead project teams and influence leaders without having a formal reporting relationship. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required. Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally. Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment necessary.
