Job Title: Design Engineer IV

 

Location: Alpharetta, GA

 

Job Duties:

Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Development, and Operations teams to architect, implement, and operationalize scalable Talent Lifecycle Management system infrastructure. Drive continuous improvement of applications and infrastructure through the organization to ensure optimal operations, performance, and stability of services. Establish infrastructure technology architectures, standards, test plans, design templates, governance and standard operating procedures. Provide support for database administration, performance tuning, platform-level configuration and analysis. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Service Managers, Project Managers, Design Engineers and Operations) to gather and develop requirements. Promote use of innovative new technology and best practices for BU or Enterprise-wide new product and solution development initiatives. Achieve and maintain a holistic understanding of ADP applications, technologies, and services. Design and automate database release deployments.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field plus eight years of experience required. Employer will accept a three-year degree or a combination of degrees or diplomas as meeting the Bachelor’s requirements.

 

Work Experience:

Experience must include: Development in a highly scalable enterprise distributed system, 24/7 production environment; designing large mission-critical production system using MSSQL and MySQL with InnoDB and MongoDB; NoSQL Database technologies, including MariaDB or Cassandra; SQL Server experience, including Clustering, Replication, Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) Performance Tuning; Third Party Replication technologies and tools, including Informatica; DB design and Architecture; Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for large database systems; Database design and data modelling using tools such as Erwin and Enterprise Architect; Linux and Windows OS; Development experience with one or more of the following languages: C/C++ , ColdFusion 8, JAVA, or VB; Automation concepts, theories, and practices; Talent Lifecycle Management products; and Cloud technologies/methodologies.
