Position Summary:

ADP is looking for a Design Engineer to join our Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration team. As a member of the Global End User Computing department, the incumbent will provide technical leadership and implementation expertise for all aspects of messaging & collaboration services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, technology design expertise, direction and consultation, in the development, integration, launch, scaling, and maintenance of new and existing email solutions
  • Deliver design and implementation responsibilities using the agile (scrum) mythology
  • Leads the implementation of email technologies – work with support/operations to build/maintain knowledge base and run books.
  • Define, document and communicate the overall email architecture and conceptual designs that meet business need in alignment with ADP strategic direction. 
  • Assists in providing technology analysis, recommendation and business case development for client requests requiring new or enhanced products / services to ensure development of efficient systems in alignment with ADP strategic direction
  • Partner with the IT Security Organization and the Global Security Office to establish a secure framework
  • Conduct vendor and product analysis, evaluation, certification and recommendation of new or enhanced IT vendor’s products and services
  • Research and recommend new and emerging technologies to enhance our associate productivity
  • Contribute and share knowledge with the Enterprise Messaging engineering and support teams
  • Ensure that enterprise messaging services are well positioned to meet future needs
  • Aid in the development of the strategic messaging services roadmap for the next 18 — 24 months

Qualifications Required:

  • 7-10 years of relevant industry experience and a proven track record of expertise with enterprise messaging & collaboration technologies with demonstrated progression of responsibilities
  • Proven experience supporting industry standard technologies inclusive of the following:
    • Microsoft Office 365 — Exchange, Skype, Teams
    • Working experience with other Office 365 services a plus
    • Large, global enterprise wide office 365 migration experience
    • Advanced Powershell automation experience — heavy priority is given to candidates with proven automation abilities
    • Securemail delivery technologies — HP Voltage SecureMail
    • SMTP Email gateway knowledge — Proofpoint
    • Anti SPAM and Malware detection systems
    • DMARC, DKIM and SPF
    • Fundamental understanding of network and Internet concepts (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, Web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, etc.)
    • Strong analytical skills for problem solving
    • Must possess Enterprise Messaging Implementation experience.
    • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience
    • Working experience in agile environments a plus
