Description

As the lead automation quality assurance engineer, you will define, design, implement and execute a comprehensive automation testing strategy in a fast-paced agile environment. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with product owners, developers, and end consumers. You will work to institute a test methodology and framework that improve test coverage, test efficiency, test results and eliminates the need for repetitive manual testing. You will demonstrate hands-on expertise in designing, implementing and executing automation scripts. You will create and maintain test plans, test data, and test environments. You will capture and report test results and work with the development team to fix bugs and address issues identified to ensure highest possible software quality.

Responsibilities

 

  • Test all aspects of the marketplace platform and ensure highest quality
  • Design and implement and execute a comprehensive automation testing strategy
  • Work with product owners, architects, and developers to collect requirements and understanding needed for testing
  • Work with project manager to estimate and track test activities
  • Provides input about quality-related issues during system design
  • Create comprehensive test plan and test cases/scenarios
  • Setup and maintain test environments and data
  • Automate reusable test plans and manage the repository of test suites/data for new functionality and regression testing
  • Manage and track defect creation and resolution
  • Mentor and coach junior associates

 

 Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a quality assurance and testing role
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools, technologies, coding and scripting
  • Strong knowledge of development and testing methodologies
  • Strong experience with test automation tools and technologies: Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI, Jenkins
  • Experience with agile management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Rally and other)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and query languages
  • Good understanding of web technologies, web APIs and platform architectures
  • Good understanding of REST web services, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience with continues integration and testing; experience building automation pipelines using Jenkins
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred) or related field
