ADP is hiring a Manager, External Communications to work on some key projects for the Canadian market and to provide external communications, events and content support to the organization.
Reporting directly to the Director, Brand and Communications, you will lead the external communications project planning and management for high-visibility projects. You will work with colleagues in the communications team and across functional lines to deliver strategies and materials that support the needs of the business. You will work with our public relations and creative agencies to plan and execute high-profile, market-facing initiatives as well as our sales leadership team to facilitate and manage corporate and field events.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing marketing communications programs and has experience serving as a brand spokesperson. We’re looking for someone who is creative, agile, and comfortable leading complex communications deliverables with multiple stakeholders as well as managing to multiple deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the strategy and execution of the annual media relations plan
Create media and external communications plans for product launches and other initiatives
Work with our agency partners to manage ongoing media and influencer relations, respond to inquiries and track program effectiveness
Support senior leaders with media counsel and message coaching
Act as corporate spokesperson as needed
Identify opportunities to create and leverage content, news and other initiatives to generate earned media impressions and/or market awareness
In close cooperation with the Product Marketing team, develop and execute sales communication programs for new product launches
Track and report on all communications deliverables to the project team and to senior leadership
Manage a comprehensive editorial and content calendar for all external communications
Balance input from key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies
In close consultation with counterparts in the U.S., evaluate and localize U.S. materials as needed
Collaborate with and gather information from a wide variety of internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, and simplify complex information for a wide variety of audiences.
Oversee and, where necessary, manage strategy, planning and execution of corporate and field events
Participate as a member of the larger project team in Canada and the U.S.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, flexible, works well under pressure and has a good sense of humor, and is comfortable engaging with executive leaders and teams across business units and collaborating with teams and individuals in different geographical locations.
