ADP is seeking a Linguistic Quality Lead to join our Localization Team.

Linguistic Quality Lead (LQL) is responsible for corporate linguistic quality and translation vendor management program. This includes defining the linguistic quality concept and QA methodology to ensure desired quality is attained. The LQL will develop and maintain a vendor KPI program so ADP can better manage translation service providers and ensure quality service at an affordable price.
Translation vendor management

 

Responsibilities:

  • Management of linguistic assets (Translation Memories (TMs), glossaries, style guides, etc.), processes and related issues
  • Ownership of the overall linguistic quality program for all languages including overseeing ADP in-country review process
  • Develop, implement and maintain a quality plan in accordance with client requirements 
  • Research and deploy methods to improve quality and knowledge retention and management
  • Put corrective actions in place where service falls short of expectations. 
  • Customize client instructions or create instructions from scratch, as necessary, to ensure that translation teams are clear on process methodology, translation technology and deliverables
  • Establish query management workflow
  • Manage quality of ADP’s Translation Memory
  • Manage data on cost, quality and vendor performance, produce statistical quality reports and vendor scorecards
  • Proactively address quality issues and put in place corrective action
  • Work with Translation vendors and ADP clients to define and execute on corrective action plans that resolve quality issues
 

Qualifications:

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Ability to create high-level reports as well as to create and deliver compelling presentations
  • Proven experience in development of processes and ideas
  • Ability to apply original thinking and creativity to improve and enhance the processes or methodologies used by anyone in the organization
  • Willingness to constantly analyze the way we do things –to challenge the conventional wisdoms and seek new ways to gain incremental improvements
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills that drills down the core root of an issue
  • Strong inclination to use technology to collaborate in a community, collect feedback, analyze data and automate data management steps. Use of tools to manage metrics, reports and cost calculations.
  • Understanding of Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS). A good understanding of Machine Translation (MT) engines and MT Post-editing, (processes, tools, schedule and budget impact) is a plus
 

Education and Experience: 

  • Experience working cross-culturally and with global teams.
  • Quality Management professional experience (minimum 2 years) on the buy or supply side
  • Expertise with XTM and CAT tools
  • Knowledge of Data Quality Framework a plus
  • Knowledge of additional languages a plus
