The International Money Movement Systems (IMMS) is a custom module installed in Oracle E-Business Suite, an industry leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application, which interfaces ADP’s internal payroll systems with external financial partners for payroll related disbursements in international locations. The platform is currently fully functional for Canada, UK, Netherlands and France. IMMS is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all clients’ employee and employer Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT / ACH), Cheque disbursement, collection activity (EFT / ACH / Wire), tax and third party remittance services, accounting and reconciliation activities, risk review, revenue recognition (including foreign exchange) and short term cash forecasting for ADP’s international operations. Currently the IMMS platform processes transactional activities of over 133 Billion Dollars (50,000 clients) for Canada and 15 Billion Euros (5,000 Clients) for Europe.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Consultant, Payment Operations – Banking Services will be responsible for the coordination, implementation and impact analysis of all product, service or IT changes affecting the Team. In addition, the Senior Consultant is responsible for analysing process and procedures resulting in streamlined activities. The Senior Consultant will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all projects assisting the Manager, Payment Operations, and implementation of all new processes subsequent to User Acceptance Testing and Releases. The incumbent will also be required to prepare and oversee training plans for all new and current Associates where it pertains to new job functions, implementation of new specifications, enhancements, system fixes or new products and services. This role is responsible for operational processes, resource allocation, procedures and escalations, and leadership of the Halifax team as is required.
 
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Support the Manager, and Director, Payment Operations, as required
* Act as delegate for communication with Bank Partners
* Oversee Payment Operations for escalated system and process issues and intervene as required
* Coordinate Contingency efforts for both sites as required
* Act as a SME for IMMS, working closely with IMMS Support for escalations and Product Work Requests (PWR’s)
* Represent Payment Operations in projects that impact Money Movement
* Responsible for the coordination, implementation and impact analysis of all products, service or IT changes affecting the Payment Operations on a national basis
* Provide training and support to Associates in Payment Operations
* Document and monitor all projects/initiatives undertaken in Payment Operations
* Communicate with Banking Services Analyst to maintain on-line Manuals and LDRPS updates
* Able to support Business Units via pager of extended hours
* Provide back-up for functions during vacation and/or absences, including alternate site
* Must be flexible to work some weekends for system or hardware upgrades
* Other duties as assigned by management
 
CRITICAL POSITION CRITERIA:
* Post-Secondary Education and 4-5 years business experience in a financial environment
* Advanced experience in operational processing and control procedures
* Advanced knowledge of Oracle Financials or IMMS/Discoverer
* Advanced knowledge SOX and SOC1 control procedures
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio
* SharePoint experience required
* Proven leadership ability
* Service centric experience
* Must be able to work in a high volume, high pressure environment
* Must be able to work in a team environment
* Excellent communications skills both written and oral
* Organized and detail oriented
