ADP is hiring a Teledata Representative.  The Teledata Representative receives payroll data, including hours and earnings and basic employee data, via phone or fax and enters it into the processing system. Audits payrolls for accuracy. Answers basic client questions regarding payroll including processing procedures and taxes. Keeps an accurate record of client inquiries/changes in the client relationship management system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answers incoming client calls and/or makes outbound telephone calls to clients. Enters payroll data received via telephone and fax into the payroll processing system. Completes all required information accurately and timely to ensure an accurate payroll for the client. Updates client information as necessary.
  • Answers basic client questions regarding payroll including processing procedures, deduction/earnings setups, and taxes. Refers complex questions/issues to Client Services for follow-up and resolution.
  • Reviews payrolls and verifies that information is correct prior to processing. Corrects any terminal errors and determines cause of error(s).
  • Maintains client relationship management software (CATS and/or Clarify) with details of all client communication.
  • Identifies clients that have not called-in payroll as scheduled. Deletes client information and/or refers to Client Services for follow-up.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Communicates regularly with clients and internal resources via telephone. Must be able to be understood and understand others.
  • Clients supply their information over the phone
  • Various payroll products, Clarify, CATS
  • Must be able to recognize how deductions work and be able to spot possible errors.
  • Must be polite to clients and work in a team environment to achieve goals.
  • Must properly manage data entry productivity
  • Payrolls fluctuate dramatically during the busy periods. Must be able to provide consistent, pleasant service regardless of volume.
  • Associate must follow processes in order to ensure consistent client experience.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion – typing/data entry 90% of the time
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent in education and experience
  • 1-3 years of directly related customer service, data entry or payroll processing experience
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during peak volume periods, including year-end
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Some college preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively by speaking and listening
  • Ability to enter data while talking on the telephone
  • Ability to navigate software applications
  • Ability to accurately enter alphanumeric data using a 10-key pad
  • Ability to understand basic mathematical computations
  • Effective interpersonal skills and client service orientation
  • Ability to prioritize client issues and work under the pressure of time constraints
  • Ability to consistently deliver quality service under the pressure of volume variances in inbound calls, length of calls, escalations, etc.
  • Ability to consistently follow processes and procedures
  • Proven proficiences in basic statistical computations and related problem resolution
