Senior Engineering Project Manager

Basic Function:
Plans and directs engineering activities relating to building infrastructure within the ADP portfolio of facilities. Ensures that all facility infrastructure engineering initiatives are in conformance with ADP established objectives and guidelines for facility reliability, redundancy and energy management. Leads and directs the work of internal and external staff and engineers to implement requirements.
Work Description:
- Travel to Real Estate (CRE) and Corporate Facilities (CF) projects for engineering support.Â
- Provide oversite guidance to Engineer of record to enforce ADP’s Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) standards. Manage and maintain project plans, assembling cross functional teams, managing scope, and actively managing resources, costs, quality and risk. Monitors and reviews project progress and timelines; adjusts schedules and plans as needed; identifies and resolves issues to ensure project success; drive a cost effective solution while ensuring quality and alignment with ADP real estate strategy, facility infrastructure and business requirements.
- Identifies matters regarding budget(s), resources, timelines and formally communicates to management seeking support for any changes.
- Develop an infrastructure conditional assessment program for ADP’s portfolio, report on findings and develop recommendations and costing for capital improvements.
- Keep abreast of changing MEP standards and codes through continuous education and development.
- Seek out new Engineering companies for ADP’s use on projects.
- Work with third party Facility Management Company (Currently CBRE) to ensure all MEP related work is being completed per contract.
- Provide guidance to Real Estate, Corporate Facilities and Third Party Facility Management Company on the use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Method of Procedure (MOP) when transitioning from the project to operational phase.Â
- Oversee Crane Lift Procedures.
- Provide budgeting for CRE and CF projects concerning MEP.
- Develop sustainable MEP projects including renewable energy creating cost efficiencies. Immediate interest resides within Solar and Fuel Cell technology.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Reporting/Supervision:
- Reports directly to Senior Director of Engineering.
- Requires minimal supervision
- Manages primarily outsourced staff and consulting engineers.
Â
Work Experience:
- 5 to 7 years Project Management Skills in MEP Projects
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems; fire safety systems and data center engineering.
- Handles multiple projects
- Excellent analytical skills

Education:
- BS Degree: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Mechanical Engineering preferred

Other Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service. Ability to effectively present information.Â
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope/direction.

Travel Requirements:
- Moderate travel required 1 to 2 weeks per month.
