POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads managers of exempt and/or nonexempt individual contributors with varying levels of responsibility. Accountable for people management, client service, organizational direction and cost. Ensures alignment of strategies, goals and objectives of the organization, business unit and corporation. Key point of contact with the business units’ executive leadership (Finance Controllers, VP’s, General Managers, etc). Driver of transformation and change and manages the change initiatives to ensure it is implemented succesfully. Provides oversite to managers to manage day to day operations to support the business strategies ensuring continuous improvement and exceptional client service. Establishes and oversees the key metrics to ensure organization is operating at peak efficiency. Responsible to ensure SLA’s are met or exceeded. Point of client escalation from the managers and prior to involvement of senior leadership. Directs and leads managers within a single country and has a span of control between 10 to 15 direct reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide global operational direction for Finance Shared Service team/s.
- Direct workflows for all functions performed by Finance Shared Services in accordance with acceptable time schedules, contractual requirements and SLA’s.
- Developes the strategy of the organization to ensure alignment to the direction of the Financial Shared Services organization, Business Units and Corporation.
- Review data and conduct trending analysis to be proactive in addressing potential operational issues.
- Manages and administers all SOX Key controls.
- Establish and monitor Service Level agreements between business units and the Finance Shared Service Center.
- Manage department expenses budget and provide timely forecast update information to corporate finance. Manage and minimize unplanned expenses and ensure actual expense are equal to or less than budgeted levels.
- Responsible to direct department hiring and terminations as required. Directs the departments training requirements and ensures that timely and effective training is provided to maximize associate effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage performance expectations and career planning. Coach and mentor managers through hands on involvement. Retain top talent according to established metrics.
- Build and maintain relationships by collaborating across business units and departmens to foster trust, commitment, accountability and results. Sponsor organizational project initiatives and ensures initiatives are implemented and operational.
- Point of escalation for the client when Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) or Managers are not able to resolve the issue.
- Ensure issues are resolved ina timely and accpetable fashion to avoid further escalations to senior leadership.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree
Major or Area of Concentration: Accounting or Business
Experience: 12+years, Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience leading an organization. A plus of leading ~60 or more resources and between 10 to 15 direct reports.
