The Project Manager III will be a trusted source to drive innovation and growth of the business. They will lead cross-functional teams to achieve desired strategic and operational results for the SBS. Projects will include, but are not limited to revenue generation, cost reduction, application or process enhancements, infrastructure initiatives, or compliance and statutory requirements. For projects with large technology components, this position may interface with a technical project manager.

The Project Management Office within Small Business Services (SBS) is responsible for planning, coordinating, leading, and implementing projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished. Its mission is to partner with executives and associates to lead projects and programs that support strategic goals while driving improvements for both associates and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble, organize, and lead a matrixed team of ADP associates representing all functional and support areas to ensure project success.
  • Accountable for ensuring project goals and objectives are clearly defined and executed within designated timeframes.
  • Manage SBS projects utilizing a formal project management methodology.
  • Responsible for all aspects of organizational readiness, change management, and communications.
  • Generate and implement innovative approaches and opportunities to grow and strengthen the PM discipline within SBS.
  • Act as a connector between service operations, product management, development, and other business partners to ensure integration and unified approach to advancing the business.
  • Facilitate in person and virtual meetings to achieve group consensus and enlist others in a common vision by appealing to shared aspirations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Project Management, Management Consulting, Product Management, Business Process Improvement, or Business Engineering.
  • Experience managing medium to large cross-functional and/or multi-year projects
  • Experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
 
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • PMP or equivalent professional project management certification
  • Demonstrates clear ability to cultivate strong inter and intra-team relationships.
  • Proven complex decision making ability and is accustom to multitasking, analyzing opportunities, defining successful approaches, and proactively solving problems.
  • Exhibits proven track record of tenacity and determination to succeed.
  • Superior written and communications skills with the ability to clearly package information for transmission.
  • Establishes a personal agenda for professional growth and embraces the journey to achieve.
  • Ability to blend project management methodologies and take a systems thinking view of their approach.
  • Motivated by inspiring others and leading change across organizations.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to thrive in a complex and ambiguous environment and seeks ways to continually make sense of it.
  • Genuinely curious and independently seeks out ways to enhance personal knowledge.
  • Knowledge or experience within digital commerce, FINTECH, service center or client service operations, or SAAS providers
  • Understands and seeks ways to innovate and challenge processes.
  • Understanding of change management processes in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Possess advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio skills.
